Family Partnerships

No one wants to think that the unimaginable could happen to them, but according to statistics, nearly 2,000 children are reported missing or abducted each day in the United States. Gathering all of the information law enforcement officials need after the fact can be a daunting task, especially under duress.

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), a current good quality photo is the single most effective tool in locating a missing child. The NCMEC encourages parents to be prepared by assembling their child's photos and vital information ahead of time.

Sunset Photo has teamed up with the NCMEC to address the safety of every student we photograph and provide parents with these valuable tools.

Family Trusted Digital ID

Family Trusted Digital ID is a program to provide parents with the necessary information and photos in digital form to help authorities find their child in the event of an emergency. The Family Trusted Digital ID are NCMEC's approved form of standard digital identification for children.

The Digital ID can be easily used to print or e-mail the photos and information on it to local law enforcement authorities, friends, relatives, the press and the NCMEC in the event of a missing child emergency. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) recommends keeping the photo of your child current, preferably once every six months.
